Spec Ad: The Cakery Facebook Ad

 

Project Request-

For this project, I worked with a creative brief for The Cakery, an extremely popular bakery within the community that serves cakes, pastries, donuts, and other treats. The Cakery wanted a Facebook Ad to help them announce they were expanding their offering into wedding cakes, to help draw in more business, and start their expansion in that industry. The target audience is 20-35-year-old couples who are shopping around for their cake, very interested in taste-testing and want a reasonable quote for a high-quality custom cake.

My Strategy-

I helped The Cakery accomplish their goal by creating a Facebook ad that drew attention highlighting the free, 1-year anniversary cake the customer gets by placing an order for any wedding cake. Since they are a very popular and well-loved bakery, I leveraged that by adding in some endearing wordplay in their brand voice, and mentioned when they come in for a free consultation and cake tasting, they will get a reasonable quote for a high-quality cake from their favorite bakery. Lastly, I made the call to action a no-brainer by portraying how easy the process will be for the customer.
